Long OVERDUE update
It must be almost 6 months since this website had any updates, and we have had an email from one individual pointing this out - our thanks for the reminder! It does suggest that someone has looked at the website!

This update (July 2008) provides a number of new reports on our report page as highlighted below.

Unfortunately, the information on our 'Events' page is still out of date. Training courses are still being carried out by the Wildlife Trust, and their own website provides further information.

2007 Butterfly and Dragonfly survey report
A report by Ron Follows covering his 2007 butterfly and dragonfly survey in Ring Haw is now available on our 'reports' page.
Fungus Foray Reports
The Huntingdon Fungus Group carry out 'fungus forays' at various locations in the area, some of which include Sulehay and Ring Haw. Our 'reports' page provides links to their species lists relating to this reserve, and as published on their website.

For a link to their home page, refer to our 'contacts and links' page.

New moth data for 2008
This year , so far, could also be described as a 'washout'. We have frequently had to abandon, or cut short, our trapping sessions. Even when we have had warm weather, the moths seem to have avoided us! That is until the last week in July. On two occasions, one in Sulehay (the 30th, a dry night), and one in Ring Haw (the 31st, a damp night) we had species numbers and total moth numbers closer to that of previous years. Things are starting to look up!

See our 'reports' page for details of individual sessions, and a results summary for macro moths.

The bioimages website appears to be fully operational again, and our links to that website are fully functional again. This is a very useful resource and is used extensively by the SulehayNatureReserve website for example photographs, particularly from the June/July 'Lookout for . . . ' pages.
